Traditional Flamenco and contemporary dance
Trio Paso 3
Flamenco is not an artistic discipline, it is an inhabited and incandescent art: it mobilizes and consumes the human, on every side of the stage, the artist's tension is equal only to that of the spectator.
In concert, what we are waiting for is the moment when the artist will come out of himself to face the stage, this moment of irrepressible inspiration that will put him in danger, pushing him to overtake and bringing him to appeal to the register of instincts .
One of the essential keys to the strength of the Flamenco is perhaps hidden there, in the revelation of an instinctive expression that has become socially unfair in our countries: a search for grace and beauty, as well as the inebriating expression of violence, furious and free energy , anger to deny death and challenge life.
Paola Maureso, Alain Diaz and Sandra Diaz form Paso 3, a clever mix of traditional flamenco and contemporary dance, linked by the power of a magnetic guitar.

About Alain Diaz
For years, the artistic reputation of Alain Diaz, French guitarist son of Spanish Republicans, surreptitiously traveled from mouth to mouth. Man was scarce, and only on private occasions had we burned our hearts to his ears.
Because Flamenco is not an artistic discipline, it is an inhabited and incandescent art:
it mobilizes and consumes the human, on each side of the stage,
the tension of the artist having of equal only that of the spectator.
Everything is made of precious moments, key moments where the senses
alert decrypt the echoes of the past, the nuances of interpretation and
the wild malignity of the duende, dear to Federico García Lorca.
What we are waiting for, what we are waiting for, is the moment when
the artist will come out of himself to face the stage, this moment of
irrepressible inspiration that will put him in danger, push him towards a
overtaking and leading him to appeal to the register of instincts.
One of the essential keys to the strength of Flamenco is perhaps hidden there,
in the revelation of an instinctive expression that has become socially incorrect
in our countries: a search for grace and beauty, as well as for the intoxicating expression of an impetuous and free energy, rage to deny death and defy life.
Few artists have confirmed us to be able. Alain Diaz showed it to us: it does us the honor now to burn us in public place.
For more than a decade, the afficionados of the flamenco maestro hoped to be burned by his compositions and his incredible improvisations, not in talented accompanist but in solo version. Through emotion and fire, Alain Diaz marks the pace, the man ignites his compositions. Because the guarijas, bulerias, tangos or alegrias make fun of the supposedly modern life, if we are not present for the fire.
